Manufacturing is a derivative of additive manufacturing, which has nothing to do with classic 3D printing.
The material is isotropic, that is to say it does not behave like wood with fragility in one sense but rather like injected plastic. This material, similar to ABS, resists more than 98°C without any deformation as well as hydrocarbons.
The piece is mass-tinted with an anti-UV treatment applied to the surface. The surface is also scratch resistant and finally the material is slightly flexible (Shore 80D) so as not to be brittle.
We have added flexible pins (only the pins are this flexible) in order to completely eliminate the problem of breakage which is recurrent on the original grilles. This also facilitates assembly, which is not very simple with rigid pins. The flexibility of the pins has no impact on the hold of the grid on the car, there is a certain rigidity guaranteeing the hold of the grid on the wing.
